For added security, SSLPost can also provide 2 Factor Authentication which, if enabled, requires a recipient to input a unique session one-time code (or "soft token") that will be sent to their mobile via an SMS message. They will need to enter this code as well as their password to be able to access the SSLPost encrypted file.

SSLPost Batch allows you to send any document by email instead of sending it to the printer to produce hardcopy. It is designed for medium to large organisations that sent out large batches of documents such as memos, invoices, payslips and statements. SSLPost Batch can connect with any back office system including Sage, IRIS, all ERP and CRM systems and is simple to implement and very user-friendly.

The batch documents are sent to the SSLPost servers. Once received, the sender then has an option to choose what service they require for delivery, for instance; secure encrypted email, unencrypted email or recorded delivery. SSLPost Professional uses a mix of block and transport encryption processes. Secure Socket Layers (SSL) are used with a 256-bit key to encrypt communication from the sender to our servers (most credit card transactions only use 128-bit encryption). On our servers we encrypt using block encryption, which uses a combination of 256-bit symmetric and 2048-bit asymmetric processes. This is sent to the recipient over normal email (i.e. SMTP). Decrypted content is only made available over a 256-bit SSL secure link.

SSLPost Professional is designed for fair and reasonable use. It allows you to send up to 12,000 secure emails per year. We monitor the amount of emails that are sent and will notify you when your limit is approaching.

The person you are sending the message to will be automatically set up with a free account. They will automatically receive a welcome email that requests them to complete a quick and simple registration and to set up a password. If the recipient has not purchased an SSLPost Secure Email licence, the recipient can only send files to you. However, if they wish to send secure emails or files to other people on their contacts list, they can quickly and simply purchase an SSLPost Cloud single user licence using this website or contact us for more information.

Yes. SSLPost Professional tracks all messages, including whether they have been successfully opened. To view the audit trail of your sent messages, log into your SSLPost account and select 'Sent Messages' from the audit menu.

Yes, SSLPost Professional provides a revocation facility. To cancel a sent message log into your SSLPost account and under 'Sent Messages' select 'Update Settings' to change the Seal status of a message. A revoked message cannot then be decoded. You may only revoke access effectively if the email/file has not been opened by the recipient. All further attempts to access the email following revocation will be unsuccessful. When they receive your first secure message via SSLPost Professional, they will receive two secure emails; one will be a welcome email requesting them to set a unique password by clicking a link, the other will be the original secure email you have sent to them. This second email will instruct them to click a decode button and enter in their unique password (please note, the recipient will only receive a welcome email the very first time they are sent a secure message via SSLPost).
