SSLPost utilises the following technology to integrate seamlessly into the SAP environment.
SAP NetWeaver |

SSLPost is certified for integration with SAP NetWeaver. |
SAP Business Suite |
SAP Business Suite (formerly mySAP Business Suite) is a complete package of open enterprise solutions which links up all people, information, and processes and thus increases the effectiveness of your business relationships. SAP Business Suite is based on the SAP NetWeaver technology platform and can be seamlessly integrated with practically every system. SSLPost is a certified SAP Business Suite solution. |
SAP Solution Manager |
SAP Solution Manager is a centralized, stable tool for managing SAP applications, enabling implementation, operation, monitoring, and support. SAP Solution Manager simplifies technical support in distributed systems and offers functions that cover all important aspects of providing, operating, and continuously improving solutions. SSLPost is certified as “SAP Solution Manager Ready Functionality”. |
AAK and SAINT |
The SSLPost Add-on was packaged for installation with the SAP AAK tool (Add-On Assembly Kit) to ensure that we meet with SAP requirements for best practice. The Add-on can be easily installed into an SAP system with the SAP Add-On Installation Tool (SAINT) or imported via the SAP transport system. |
ABAP |
The SSLPost Add-on was developed and certified in ABAP which is the SAP object oriented programming language. |
Business Transaction |
The SSLPost Add-on integrates into the business transaction making it possible to send documents securely without making changes to the end user process. An example transaction is “VF01” which is used to create an Invoice on SAP. |
Output Type |
An output type provides the rules for producing a document output from SAP. SSLPost can be configured to work with all SAP document output types. |
The SSLPost Add-on converts SAP spool files to PDF format. PDF is an open standard and commonly used format for presenting business documents. |
|
IDOC |
An IDOC is the SAP format for transferring business transaction data. Different IDOC types are available for handling different types of message. The SSLPost Add-on extends the IDOC with PDF data. |
ALE |
Application Link Enabling (ALE) is the technical basis for integrating business processes in a distributed system environment. ALE has functions for managing messaging and for handling communication and application errors. The SSLPost Add-on utilises ALE configuration to route IDOC messages to the SSLPost web service. |
SAP Cryptolib |
The SAP Cryptographic Library (SAP Cryptolib) is utilised by the SSLPost Add-on to secure the SAP-to-SSLPost connection and encode the message data transferred to the SSLPost web service. |
Trust Manager |
The SSLPost Add-On utilises the Trust Manager to establish a secure and trusted connection between SAP and the SSLPost Web Service. |
XML |
The "eXtensible Markup Language" is a data format for structured document interchange on the Web. XML is used to exchange business documents on the Internet. The SSLPost Add-on sends XML requests to the SSLPost web service. The XML requests contain a PDF document, IDOC data and information about the recipient. |
HTTPS |
HTTPS is the protocol for accessing a secure Web server. The SSLPost Add-on uses HTTPS to direct messages from SAP to a secure port on the SSLPost web server. The connection to SSLPost is defined on SAP in transaction SM59. |
SSL |
SSL is the leading security protocol on the Internet. When an SSL session is started, the server sends its public key to the browser, which the browser uses to send a randomly-generated secret key back to the server in order to have a secret key exchange for that session. The SSLPost add-on utilises HTTPS and SSL to send documents securely from SAP to the SSLPost web service. |
